“Resistance” is a part of human behavior and it occurs for several reasons.
Tami will be discussing resistant behavior as it pertains to the spouse taking care of a loved one with dementia. It is common to encounter resistance when trying to introduce care in the home. Participants will learn what resistant behavior is, spousal resistant behavior mindsets – why the caregiver spouse resists getting outside support/help, and how to deal with the caregiver spouse when resistance occurs.
